~Portraits in Blues~
Brandon Santini & His Band 01/10/2012 House of Blues / Chicago Night after night you can catch Brandon on Beale St. in Memphis, on Monday 1/10, Brandon Santini & His Band made a long overdue stop in Chicago ~ on bass - Slim Louis, guitar - Jeff Jensen, and drums- Chad Wirl. Brandon on vocals and harmonica was influenced by various harp players a few of whom spent considerable time involved with the Chicago Blues community. Little Walter, Sonny Boy Williamson II and Junior Wells to name a few. The list by no means stops there, Brandon has put together a great sound which you can hear on his latest ElectroGlide Records release ~ Songs of Love, Money, and Misery. The name itself pretty much describes the roots of the blues. With so many great Blues players based in our city a few of them came out to make Brandon and his band feel right at home. Sharing the stage on a few numbers were Nick Moss and Michael Ledbetter of Nick Moss and the FlipTops, Danny Baron of Danny and the Devils and last but certainly not least Tom Holland of Tom Holland & the Shuffle Kings.
